Leicester City 2 Sunthorpe 2It was a strange night at the Walkers with a party atmosphere - was anyone actually watching the game??!! Michael Morrison scored two as City signed off the home campaign with a 2-2 draw against Scunny at the Walkers Stadium. The defender's early strike was cancelled out by Paul Hayes ten minutes into the second half before a dodgy Grant McCann penalty gave scunny the lead. A right-sided corner from Max Gradel was headed goalward by Steve Howard and Morrison quick to pounce from close range to grab his second goal of the season. 2nd half A teasing cross from Martyn Woolfood fell kindly for Hayes who made no mistake from ten yards firing underneath Stockdale. Scuuny were awarded a penalty in the 65th minute as Hobbs dragged down Hayes inside the area - McCann made no mistake with the resulting spot-kick to put the visitors 2-1 ahead. But the lead only lasted ten minutes as Howard turned back Oakley's free-kick to Morrison who looped the ball over Murphy to record his second goal of the game and third of the season. Championes, Championes echoed around the stadium as the Trophy was presented in front of the WAGS! The players walked it around the pitch and everyone went home happy - bring on the Championship!!
