The posh invite the top of the table foxes for a mouth watering clash at london road. The 12 o clock fixture kicked off in a swirling wind at London Road and inside the first few seconds, Paul Dickov committed the first foul, hacking down Charlie Lee from behind.
An in-swinging free-kick from Dean Keates was comfortably claimed by Tony Warner on four minutes after Lloyd Dyer was penalised for handball. Max Alain-Gradel tested Joe Lewis with a curling effort on 14 minutes, but it was straight at the goalkeeper and he was able to make a routine stop.
Dickov received a clattering from Zakuani which stopped the play was the front man was given treatment..
Dyer fires wide of the near post after posh's Lee was dispossessed by Fryatt.
Bruno cautioned on 31 minutes after a foul on Lee . Warner was then booked for time wasting having moved the ball 5 yrd forward ...............ref doh?.
Lee was then booked after hacking down down Fryatt as the challenges came thick and fast during difficult conditions including hail and rain!! . This added more problems for both sides and then the hail arrived.

On the 70 dyer is replaced by fogotten man Adams who has just returned from his loan stint. City have 20 to go. Bazza produces a header from inside the area.that goes over the crossbar.
City go to a 4-3-1-2 formation!..... 14 minutes to play.
78th minute has city on the rack a goal is scored by Chris Whelpdale from the edge of the area.Foxes need a goal now if they are to get anything from this game.
I think its over, does this show a lack of strength in depth? or can the foxes pull it out of the bag? Still we are point ahead, and I cannot see the posh winning all of there remaining fixtures.
Game seems to have gone off the boil, in the 82nd as the posh..... city are clutching at straws if the think they can get something from this game, but i remember we were 3-1 down in injury time against ARSENAL and came back to 3-3
So its never over until the fat-lard-lady sings. We 3 minutes left seems all over for City....Headed effort on goal by Matt Fryatt from inside the penalty box misses to the right of the goal.
