Leicester City 1 Dirty Leeds Utd 0Firstly a quick shout to Kristian, Emma and Ross (and his son) who have to deal with me week in and week out! were nearly there guys! Foxes Super 'Steve Howard' (that's in some peoples eyes!!! - Radio Leicester fans who thought he was garbage and couldnt score, 15 i think this year?) struck two minutes into injury-time to earn Leicester City a 1-0 win over Dirty Leeds at the Walkers Stadium. The striker headed home Pepsi (Max) Gradel's cross to settle a pulsating game between two evenly matched teams and deny Leeds a point, but hey you dont get a bean for singing loud and being FATT! and stupid sorry leeds fans thats another sending off for you guys!. AND THOSE SONGS ARE SOOOOOOOOO BORING! A fully committed contest saw numerous chances for both sides but neither set of players was able to break the deadlock until Howard's late effort becchio was in Wayne Browns pocket until the 'Gypo' decided to play silly games and get them both booked for handbags. Leicester tore into Leeds from the kick-off and went close three times in the first 11 minutes which was a sight for sore eyes given the fairly average showing at hereford on saturday, with Casper (w)Ankergren saving from Pepsi Max Gradel and The lion 'Andy' King and Lloyd Dyer's shot deflecting wide off Sam Sodje. Dirty Leeds slowly edged back in the game their way back into the game but Dephi anonmous for the majority of the game, Stockdale made a fine save to deny Dirty Leeds as they struck the crossbar five minutes before half-time when the foxes goalkeeper Stockdale diverted a Snodgrass corner onto the frame of his own goal for Pepsi max to clear for a corner. Gypo-Becchio could have done better, but his haircut got in the way with a weak header from a promising position 60 seconds later, Leeds countered with a corner punched off Leicester's goalline by Stockdale at the start of the second half, Leeds had a 10 minute period with possession but no cutting edge. The Foxes continued to threaten as Matt Oakley forced Ankergren into a superb stop and Matty Fryatt shot into the side netting and this should have been 1-0 matty seems to be off form and things dont look like going for him, but Fabian Delph could have won the game when he charged through Leicester's defence and fired the ball straight at Stockdale who parred the ball awy. The game appeared to be over when Gradel fired a late corner to the far post where Howard applied the finishing touch with 20 seconds on the clock.. Foxes fans went wild as the ball hit the onion bag, they realised that this goal could be a big result and sent the bumper Walkers Stadium crowd into a frenzy. The fans left the Stadium full of smiles knowing that 1pt will secure promotion at the first attempt something that Man City, Leeds, Forest and Sheff Weds all failed to do.
